Just in time for the holidays, the Small Works show is with gift giving in mind. Any subject matter is welcome in any style, including traditional, impressionist, expressionist, abstraction, or non-objective. Smalls pieces of sculpture and ceramics are included in the show. Gift pricing is encouraged. 2D works should not exceed 11”x14” in surface area, or 154 square inches for 3D works. Works can be round, square, oval, or rectangle and odd-shaped pieces.

Exhibit Open to the Public: December 2nd – January 3rd. During Gallery business hours; Tuesday – Friday 10am – 4pm, and Saturdays 10am-2pm.
Reception: Saturday, December 7th, 2-4pm
Pick up artwork: Saturday, January 4th, 10am-2pm
ABOUT THE CURATOR: Charles Wallis is a graduate of the Baylor University fine art program. After college he opened a graphic design studio beginning his career as a artist. His paintings reflect mastery of his craft and versatility in a variety of styles and media. He paints in a traditional realistic style, as well as impressionistic, abstract.A frequent show judge, He is Vice President of TVAA, show chairman of Brazos Valley Art League and a member of the Conroe Art League. He has paintings in eight different galleries in Texas.
ELIGIBILITY: This show is open to TVAA members and non-members with ribbons being awarded to Best of Show, 1st, 2nd 3rd place, and honorable mention. Cash awards for Best in Show and 1st place!
REQUIREMENTS: All artwork must be wired and framed correctly. No ½” or ¾” canvases will be curated without a frame. Gallery wrapped work must have clean and painted edges and no staples showing. Work that does not follow gallery requirements will not be hung. If invited to the exhibition you must sign up for one sitting day during the month or pay a $35.00 sitting fee for someone to cover your day. Any work not picked up on take down day with be stored for a $5.00 a day fee and then considered abandoned after 30 days. Any artwork sold pays a 25% fee to the TVAA. All artwork must have been created in the last 3 years, and have not won an award from the TVAA Gallery.
Fees must be paid at the time of submission via the online form. $35.00 for up to 3 images for Members and $45.00 for up to 3 images for Non-Members. Please submit entries jpgs at 72 dpi and no longer than 1800 pixels on longest side. You must include your name, your e-mail address, the name of the piece, the size, medium of the work, and the selling price. To avoid technical issues, please be sure to follow the image size restrictions.
LIABILITY: Entering this exhibition constitutes an agreement to release the Texas Visual Arts Association, the TVAA Gallery, and the Plaza of the Americas from any liability for loss or damage to works of art in this exhibition. TVAA, the Gallery, or the Plaza of the Americas reserves the right to remove any work that is deemed objectionable for any reason.
PARKING: For delivery and pick up, you can park in the garage for $1.50 for each twenty (20) minute interval (vouchers are provided for delivery or pick-up). Metered parking is available on Pearl and Crockett Streets. Parking in lots on Crockett and San Jacinto is $6.00. DO NOT park in the permit-only zones behind the building on Crockett Street. Full-day Gallery sitters may park free in the garage (entrance on San Jacinto – between Pearl and Crockett).
