The Texas Visual Arts Association (TVAA) sponsors two types of exhibits: monthly exhibits at its Downtown Dallas Gallery and other annual exhibits, usually at other locations around Dallas.
Downtown Gallery Exhibits
Twelve month-long exhibits are held at TVAA’s gallery in the Plaza of the America’s building in downtown Dallas. Creative themed shows, guest artist exhibits, and jewelry trunk shows are featured.

Annual & Other Exhibits
The Texas Visual Arts Association sponsors several annual exhibitions around Dallas: a Membership Exhibition, a National or Regional Open Exhibition, a Citation Exhibition for members only, and a Signature Member Exhibition. In addition, an Annual High School Exhibition is sponsored by TVAA, encouraging students from the Dallas area to compete for awards and scholarships. All these exhibits are judged by qualified art critics, museum directors and curators, gallery owners, and art educators.

A TVAA membership exhibition with $1,000+ in awards. 2015 was held at the Mesquite Arts Center.
To qualify for a TVAA signature award, an artist must be an active member and be chosen to show in five juried TVAA exhibitions. Each show, regardless of the number of entries per show, counts as one credit. This does not include curated gallery shows or exhibitions.
