2019 TVAA 72nd Annual Membership Exhibition
Exhibit Dates: Monday, June 3rd – Saturday, June 22nd
Delivery: Saturday, June 1st, 10 am to 2 pm
Entries received at TVAA Gallery, 700 North Pearl Street, Suite H106, Dallas TX 75201
Reception: Saturday, June 22nd, 2 pm to 4 pm
Strike: Saturday, June 22nd, 4 pm to 5 pm
• Artists may submit one work that will be in the exhibition.
• Work must have been created within the last 5 years.
• All media eligible. Sculpture must have its own base and stand.
• Maximum size of 2D work is 48” x 48”, framed and wired for hanging. Gallery-wrapped canvas is acceptable without framing if sides are appropriately finished. No ½” canvases will be accepted without a frame. Gallery wrapped work must have clean edges and no staples showing.
• Weight should not exceed 15 pounds.
• Special care should be taken when wiring heavy work, particularly if framed under glass. Using Plexiglas and/or double wiring is recommended.
• Work that is still wet or inadequately wired when delivered will not be hung.
• All participants are required to sit at the gallery during the show for one day, so know your schedule.
• Any work not picked up on take down day with be stored for a $5.00 a day fee and then considered abandoned after 30 days and becomes the property of TVAA. .
• TVAA receives a 25% commission on final sales.

Entry Fee
Each member may enter one work for $15. Existing members may pay dues during registration on June 1st, and we welcome new members at this time. The fee to join TVAA is now $40.
All reasonable care shall be exercised with entries. Neither TVAA nor its representatives, however, will be responsible for loss or damage. Participation constitutes agreement. TVAA reserves the right to refuse any work deemed unacceptable.

Kristin Rivas Bio
Kristin Rivas was born and raised in North Texas. She had a passion for fine art from a very young age, and has led diverse careers in both business and banking; however her artistic tendencies ultimately led her to the art world. After graduating from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor’s in Art History, she continued her studies within the University of North Texas’ graduate program, focusing on Abstract Expressionism. During her time at North Texas, Rivas published multiple papers on Modern and Contemporary Art in India, including the impact of the Kiran Nidar Museum and the work of Bharti Kher.

Rivas has been with Samuel Lynne Galleries since 2014 and was appointed Director in 2016. Her passion for Dallas’ art community has landed her several board positions. Most recently Rivas was elected as President of the Dallas Art Dealers Association (DADA), an affiliation of established, independent gallery owners and art organizations in the Dallas area. She also serves on the Art Selection Committee for the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC), and volunteers with the Business Council for the Arts.

Cash and merchandise awards will be presented at the show’s closing reception. The juror’s selections are final, and prizes are neither negotiable nor transferable.
2ND PLACE – $300
3RD PLACE – $200

Pick up
Saturday, June 22nd, 4 pm to 5 pm. Artists are to pick up work after the closing reception. Artist cannot pick up work before June 22, 4pm.
You must make prior arrangements with one of the co-chairs if you cannot pick up your artwork at this time.

Catalog Photos
If you want your own JPG to be used in the catalog, email it prior to June 5, to Penny Bisbee at penbisbee@aol.com. Include the title, medium, and price with the image file.

I agree that my artwork may be photographed and/or filmed for public relations, educational, and/or other purposes.
